What we advise on

Condor Cloud Technologies is an independent technology advisory for Australian organisations. We compare the market across six areas, shortlist the platforms that fit your requirements, and support you through selection and rollout. We are vendor funded, so the service is free to your business.

The model

What an independent advisory does, and what it does not

The word advisory covers several different businesses in this market. This is precisely what we do and where we stop, so you can work out early whether it is useful to you.

What we do

Build the requirement from how your organisation actually runs. Compare the whole market rather than a panel of two. Shortlist, script the demonstrations and sit in every session. Negotiate the commercial terms, including the ones that only matter in year three. Then stay involved through implementation and hold the vendor to the scope that was sold.

You keep the decision, we do the legwork

What we do not do

We do not resell, so no platform pays us more than the others for an outcome. We do not hold your contract, you sign directly with the vendor you choose. We do not implement, so we have nothing to protect when the delivery is criticised. And we do not invoice you, at any stage of any engagement.

No reselling, no contract with us, no invoice

The process

How an engagement runs

The same five stages apply whether the decision is a contact centre platform, a phone system, a network, a security service or an automation project. You sign directly with the vendor you choose, and the advisory service costs you nothing.

01

Requirements taken from how you actually run

The queues, the sites, the integrations, the report someone opens every Monday and the workarounds nobody has written down. Most requirement documents describe an idealised organisation. This one describes yours.

02

A shortlist drawn from the whole market

We hold relationships across more than thirty vendors, so the shortlist begins with what fits rather than with who we sell. Three or four options usually survive the first pass, and you are told what each is weak at before anybody demonstrates.

03

Demonstrations scripted from your own scenarios

We write the script from your workflow and sit in every session. Vendors lead with their strengths, which is reasonable enough. The value of an independent seat in the room is the follow up question about the capability that got skipped.

04

Commercial negotiation across the whole contract

Licence tiers, usage, professional services, integration work, term length, uplift at renewal and the exit terms. List price is an opening position in every one of these markets, and the terms are worth as much as the rate.

05

Implementation held to what was sold

We stay involved through build, migration, parallel running and go live. The failures that hurt are almost always visible weeks before anybody raises them, and an independent party in the room is how they get raised.

Due diligence

What we check on every engagement

These eight questions get asked in every category we advise on, because they are the ones that decide what a contract looks like in year three.

Whole of contract cost, not the monthly rate

Three years, all in, including migration, overlap, training and every uplift written into the agreement.

The uplift clause and its ceiling

Whether annual increases are fixed, indexed or at the vendor discretion, and what cap has actually been agreed in writing.

Australian data residency, in writing

Which country your data sits in at rest and in processing, including backups, logs and any AI features attached to the platform.

The integration behind the logo

Which objects, which direction, what the rate limits are, and who supports it when it breaks between two vendors.

The service level that applies to you

Restoration against response, measured from what point, with what rebate, and whether the target applies at your site or only on the vendor core.

Support hours and escalation

Which severity levels get an Australian business hours response, which follow the sun, and who can be reached when the first line runs out of script.

Professional services scope

What the implementation price includes, what triggers a variation, and the rate that applies when something changes in week three.

Exit terms and data portability

What you can export, in what format, over what period and at what cost. Very few buyers ask this while they still have room to negotiate.

Common questions

Asked before most engagements start

The questions people ask before deciding whether to involve an independent advisor, answered without a qualification call first.

What does it cost us?

Nothing, at any stage. We are funded by the vendors through the same margin they would otherwise retain, so our involvement does not add to your price. You sign directly with the vendor you choose and hold that contract yourself.

If vendors pay you, how is the advice independent?

Because we hold relationships across more than thirty vendors rather than an agreement with one, and the commission is similar across them. No single platform can afford to buy a recommendation, and a shortlist that always produced the same answer would stop being worth reading.

Do you resell the platforms?

No. We are not a carrier and not a reseller. You contract directly with the vendor, you hold the commercial relationship, and you can replace us at any point without touching your platform agreement.

What size of organisation do you work with?

Most of our work is with Australian organisations between roughly fifty and two thousand staff, where there is a real decision to make and no internal team dedicated to running a market comparison. We also work with organisations internationally, backed by a global team.

How long does an engagement take?

A straightforward selection runs six to ten weeks from first workshop to signed contract, and implementation follows from there. A multi site or multi platform programme takes longer. The pace is usually set by how quickly your own requirements can be documented.

What if the answer is to keep what we have?

Then that is the recommendation. A good share of the problems blamed on a platform turn out to be configuration, licensing or a contract that was never negotiated properly, and all three are cheaper to fix than a migration.

We are vendor funded and completely free to your business. Always focused on the right outcome.

Make smarter technology decisions with independent advice

We map your requirements, shortlist the platforms that fit, sit with you through demonstrations and commercial negotiation, and stay involved through implementation. You sign directly with the vendor you choose, and our service costs you nothing.
