About
About Condor Cloud Technologies
Condor Cloud Technologies is an independent technology advisory working with Australian organisations across cloud communications, customer experience, connectivity, security and AI. We compare the market, shortlist the platforms that fit the requirement, and stay involved from selection through to rollout.
Who runs Condor Cloud Technologies
Conor Doherty runs Condor Cloud Technologies. He works with contact centre, IT, operations and finance leaders on platform selection and migration, and has spent his career in cloud communications, contact centre and enterprise technology. He is based in Australia and works with organisations internationally backed by a global team.
Why the advice stays independent
We hold relationships across more than thirty vendors rather than an agreement with one. If a single platform paid our bills we would recommend it every time, and you would be right to discount everything we said. Breadth is what makes the comparison worth reading.
The model
What we do, and what we do not
The word advisory covers several different businesses in this market. This is exactly what we do and where we stop, so you can judge early whether it is useful to you.
What we do
Build the requirement from how your organisation actually runs. Compare the whole market rather than a panel of two. Shortlist, script the demonstrations and sit in every session. Negotiate the commercial terms, including the ones that only matter in year three. Then stay involved through implementation and hold the vendor to the scope that was sold.
You keep the decision, we do the legwork
What we do not do
We do not resell, so no platform pays us more than the others for a particular outcome. We do not hold your contract, you sign directly with the vendor you choose. We do not implement, so we have nothing to protect when delivery is criticised. And we do not invoice you, at any stage.
No reselling, no contract with us, no invoice
The process
How an engagement runs
The same five stages apply whether the decision is a contact centre platform, a phone system, a network, a security service or an automation project. You sign directly with the vendor you choose, and the advisory service costs you nothing.
Requirements taken from how you actually run
The queues, the sites, the integrations, the report someone opens every Monday and the workarounds nobody has written down. Most requirement documents describe an idealised organisation. This one describes yours.
A shortlist drawn from the whole market
We hold relationships across more than thirty vendors, so the shortlist begins with what fits rather than with who we sell. Three or four options usually survive the first pass, and you are told what each is weak at before anybody demonstrates.
Demonstrations scripted from your own scenarios
We write the script from your workflow and sit in every session. Vendors lead with their strengths, which is reasonable enough. The value of an independent seat in the room is the follow up question about the capability that got skipped.
Commercial negotiation across the whole contract
Licence tiers, usage, professional services, integration work, term length, uplift at renewal and the exit terms. List price is an opening position in every one of these markets, and the terms are worth as much as the rate.
Implementation held to what was sold
We stay involved through build, migration, parallel running and go live. The failures that hurt are almost always visible weeks before anybody raises them, and an independent party in the room is how they get raised.
The position
How we keep the advice worth reading
Independence is a claim every advisor in this market makes. These are the specific things that make it true here, and each of them is checkable.
Relationships across more than thirty vendors
Breadth rather than an agreement with one platform. No single vendor is a large enough share of our business to be worth protecting.
You hold the contract, not us
You sign directly with the vendor you choose. We can be replaced at any point without touching your platform agreement.
We are not a reseller and not a carrier
We do not mark up, resell or bill for the platform, so there is no margin position for us to defend during an evaluation.
We do not implement
Delivery is done by the vendor or by your own team, which means we have nothing to protect when the implementation is being reviewed.
Keeping what you have is a valid outcome
A good share of the problems blamed on a platform are configuration, licensing or a contract nobody negotiated. We say so when that is the answer.
You see the commercial terms in full
The negotiation happens in front of you, and the agreement you sign is the one you have read.
We stay after the signature
Through build, migration and go live. An advisor who leaves at contract stage has no stake in whether the recommendation was right.
It costs you nothing at any stage
Vendors fund the service out of the margin they would otherwise retain, so our involvement does not add to your price.
Common questions
Asked about how we work
The questions people ask before deciding whether to involve an independent advisor, answered without a qualification call first.
What does Condor Cloud Technologies do?
We are an independent technology advisory for Australian organisations. We compare the market across contact centre, cloud phone systems, connectivity, security and AI, shortlist the platforms that fit the requirement, run the evaluation and commercial negotiation, and stay involved through implementation.
What does it cost us?
Nothing, at any stage. We are funded by the vendors through the same margin they would otherwise retain, so our involvement does not add to your price. You sign directly with the vendor you choose and hold that contract yourself.
If vendors pay you, how is the advice independent?
Because we hold relationships across more than thirty vendors rather than an agreement with one, and the commission is similar across them. No single platform can afford to buy a recommendation, and a shortlist that always produced the same answer would stop being worth reading.
Do you resell the platforms?
No. We are not a carrier and not a reseller. You contract directly with the vendor, you hold the commercial relationship, and you can replace us at any point without touching your platform agreement.
Who do you work with?
Most of our work is with Australian organisations between roughly fifty and two thousand staff, where there is a real decision to make and no internal team dedicated to running a market comparison. We also support organisations internationally, backed by a global team.
Where are you based?
Australia. We work with organisations across the country and internationally, and the advice is written for the Australian market: local carrier and platform availability, Australian data residency, and the support hours that actually apply in your time zone.
We are vendor funded and completely free to your business. Always focused on the right outcome.
Make smarter technology decisions with independent advice
We map your requirements, shortlist the platforms that fit, sit with you through demonstrations and commercial negotiation, and stay involved through implementation. You sign directly with the vendor you choose, and our service costs you nothing.
